Docking stations (docks) for laptops

Docking stations can be connected via Universal Serial Bus, Thunderbolt or proprietary connectors.

The bandwidth over the dock might be too much for the dock to handle or there are desync issues with the monitor. Reduce the bandwidth by reducing the resolution or the bits per channel (bpc) from 10bpc (40bit total) or 8bpc (32bit total) to 6bpc (24bit total).

You can also try using another cable, especially Thunderbolt 3 and up and USB-C 3.1 and up are very sensitive to bending and twisting.
