Auch Warez genannt, sind illegale Downloads schon fast so alt wie das Internet selbst. Viele Seiten bieten Links zu Hostern oder Torrent-Dateien an, bei denen man kostenlos oder gegen geringe Gebühr alle möglichen Inhalte herunterladen kann. In Deutschland und vielen anderen Ländern ist dies nicht erlaubt und kann zu Abmahnungen und zivilrechtlichen Klagen führen. Urheberrechtlich geschützte Dateien weiterzugeben kann in manchen Fällen sogar **strafbar** sein.
